Types of Braces

Metal Braces

Metal braces have improved a lot since their earlier days and have become smaller. The micro-arch braces not only ensure better hygiene, but also minimise discomfort as a result of irritation. Thanks to their super-elastic properties, the nickel titanium wires that are placed in the braces enable crowded teeth to be aligned more comfortably.

Colored Braces

For those you who prefer colorful braces, you will be pleased to know that a full color selection will be offered with no additional costs. We offer a variety of options, from the traditional spectrum, to pastel, jelly, and even glow-in-the- dark. You are free to select any artistic creation that suits your taste, be it in relation to a favourite sports team or even an upcoming holiday; what’s more, you can change your colors at every adjustment visit (5-8 weeks).

Clear Braces (Ceramic)

For patients who prefer less visible braces, ceramic braces are also available. Ceramic braces are composed of glass-like material, and unlike plastic braces, ceramic braces do not stain. In most cases, ceramic braces provide treatment that is just as good as metal braces. However, due to their composition, if clear braces are applied to the lower teeth, they can cause wear on the enamel of the upper teeth when biting. Therefore, ceramic braces are only used on the upper front teeth.

Clear Aligners

Clear appliances such as those provided by Invisalign® straighten your teeth using a series of aligners that are invisible, removable, and comfortable. Compared with braces, aligners give you the freedom to eat and drink what you want, and also make brushing and flossing easier. In addition, since they do not have any metal, there is no mouth abrasions during treatment. However, it should be noted that this form of treatment may not be able to correct all bite types. To find out whether you are a candidate for clear aligner treatment, consult your doctor on your free initial consultation visit.

Lingual braces

If you do not want to wear conventional braces, and clear aligners by Invisalign/Clear Correct are not an option, then the best alternative could be invisible braces. As these braces are placed behind the teeth, they are not visible from the outside. These braces use cutting edge technology and are customised to the shape of your teeth and dental situation. This unique prescription by Incognito provides efficient and effective teeth movement with amazing aesthetics.
